How do Covid symptoms differ between vaccinated and unvaccinated?
The five most common symptoms among people who get the disease after getting at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are: runny nose, headache, sneezing, sore throat and persistent cough. In unvaccinated individuals, the most common symptoms are headache, sore throat, runny nose, fever and persistent cough.
Data from the study by tech company Zoe were analyzed together with researchers from King’s College in London.
As part of the research, supported by the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), more than 4.7 million users who tested positive for Covid-19 recorded their symptoms on a digital platform.
Analyzing this information, experts created a sort of ranking of how the most common symptoms have changed throughout the pandemic.
The study, which received funding from the British government up to March 2022, provided rapid identification of some of the surprise effects of Covid-19, such as loss of sense of smell or taste.
