Composite Lamina (Bonding)
Composite lamina is aesthetic filling applications made to the front surfaces of the teeth without damaging them. In this procedure, white composite fillings, which are also preferred in aesthetic anterior tooth fillings, are used.
How is Composite Lamina Made?
First, the dentist carefully cleans the teeth and prepares them for treatment. Then, the processes begin on the teeth that are free from tartar and plaque. Special acids are applied to the tooth surface to ensure that the composite lamina material adheres better to the tooth. Solutions called bonding are applied to ensure adhesion between the roughened tooth surface and the composite. Composite filling, which is preferred according to the color of the teeth, is applied to the surface areas of the teeth with the help of a special brush. Blue light is used to make the applied material hard. In the next stage, it is shaped by the dentist according to the tooth form. Finally, the polishing process is performed and the teeth gain an aesthetic appearance.
