Micronesia, an archipelago country with a population of more than 100 thousand, has prevented the spread of the virus in the country for more than 2.5 years thanks to its geographical isolation, border controls and strict measures. However, the government announced today that there are multiple cases in 2 of the country’s 4 states.
Authorities reported that the test of 35 people in Kosrae state was positive, and 7 cases were detected in Pohnpei state. Thus, it was recorded that Covid-19 turned into an epidemic for the first time in the country.
