Can rhinoplasty be performed under local anesthesia?
Rhinoplasty surgeries can be performed under general anesthesia as well as technically under local anesthesia. While rhinoplasty is performed with local anesthesia, it should be taken into account that being awake may cause different problems. The fact that the patient is restless, afraid and the surgeon does not feel comfortable reduces the quality of a fine surgery such as rhinoplasty. Performing rhinoplasty operations with general anesthesia is more comfortable for the patient and the surgeon.
