The biggest advantage of the open rhinoplasty technique is that it provides a wide view and application opportunity to the surgeon. However, the recovery period of nasal tip edema and bruises is longer compared to the closed rhinoplasty technique.
Closed rhinoplasty: In closed rhinoplasty, the incisions are inside the nostrils. Although the surgical field of view is less in operations performed with the closed technique, there is no possibility of a suture scar visible from the outside. In addition, the recovery period is relatively shorter compared to the open rhinoplasty method.
