Is there an age limit for rhinoplasty?
Since it is foreseen that the musculoskeletal system will complete the adequate development in rhinoplasty surgeries, it is expected that the bone development of the children will be completed. Rhinoplasty is based on the development of bone and cartilage structure, not age limit. However, prominent ear surgeries, which complete their development faster than the nose, can be performed even at the age of 6, considering the psychology of the child. Although there is not exactly an upper limit in plastic surgery, it should be considered that anesthesia and postoperative complications may increase in advancing ages. However, aesthetic surgery can be performed if the patient does not have different ailments that will prevent him from receiving anesthesia by looking at his general condition.
